This formula combines a blend of pomegranate and cacao extracts with a special formulation of luteolin. These ingredients have been studied independent of each other to support men’s sexual health and more.
Pomegranate and cacao extract blend
In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of over 100 healthy men ages 40-70, participants were given the same pomegranate and cacao extract blend used in our formula. Over the course of twelve weeks, the subjects of the study reported positive changes in overall sexual function—sexual arousal, behavior, drive and even satisfaction—when compared to placebo.1
In the same clinical study, subjects also reported healthy erectile function and frequency when compared to placebo, with best results occurring at day 84 (the end of the study).1
Bio-Luteolin™ and men’s health
Luteolin is a flavonoid or plant compound that has received significant attention in scientific circles for its potential men’s health benefits. But it has low bioavailability. We combined luteolin with galactomannan fibers from fenugreek seeds to increase bioavailability.2
Sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) is a protein the body uses to transport sex hormones through the bloodstream. Sounds great, but SHBG actually has an inverse relationship with specific sex hormones.
In a clinical trial consisting of healthy middle-aged men (ages 35-55), participants taking luteolin with fenugreek fibers experienced positive changes in levels of sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) as well as estradiol, both key biomarkers of men’s sexual health.3
