Carnosine and muscle health
Since Carnosine acts as a pH buffer, it can help protect muscle cells from the acidic conditions of exercise.1 Muscle cells naturally contain high levels of carnosine.1 However, carnosine levels decline with age.1,2 Supplementation with carnosine has been shown to help provide muscle support.3
Powerful glycation-inhibiting agents
Carnosine helps inhibit glycation, a process in which non-enzyme controlled cross-linking of proteins or lipids with sugars can form nonfunctioning molecules.4,5
Because glycation affects your body’s essential proteins, it can contribute to a variety of age-related factors, such as the appearance of wrinkles.6 We also added the glycation-inhibiting nutrients thiamine and benfotiamine.7
Luteolin
Our Super Carnosine formula also contains luteolin, to help complement the health benefits of carnosine, thiamine, and benfotiamine.
